St. Andrew's is a Norman, Grade I listed church dating back to the twelfth century, with thirteenth-century nave and aisles, as well as a fourteenth-century chantry chapel. Dedicated to St. Andrew, the church has strong connections to the Claypole and Cromwell families and the poet John Clare.
