Enjoy a toe-tapping afternoon of jazz in Burghley's beautiful gardens.
Spend a summer's afternoon in Burghley's Sculpture Garden listening to the swinging sounds of local Dixieland jazz group, the Stamford Stompers. Bring the whole family along, roll out a blanket and soak up the sublime atmosphere. With a soundtrack that will have everyone bopping along - even the littlest of dancers won't be able to resist joining in! Listen to the Stompers as they perform a wonderfully wide repertoire of classic New Orleans jazz with instruments that include a banjo, string bass, clarinet, trumpet, and guitar.
If you fancy a glass or two of fizz, a cooling soft drink or a barista coffee whilst you enjoy the music, a pop-up Garden Bar has you covered. A range of delicious cakes will also be available, along with Afternoon Tea picnic boxes and tubs of irresistble strawberries and cream.
During your visit take in the beauty of the Gardens in full summer bloom or let the little ones run wild in Hide & Secrets Adventure Play. The Gardens and Adventure Play are open from 10am to 5pm with the Stamford Stompers performing from 12 noon to 4pm.
Adult Day Ticket from £9, Child Day Ticket from £7.50
