Living History at Longthorpe

About

See Longthorpe Tower brought to life at our living history re-enactment weekend with the Medieval Sokemen Living History Group!

Visit the Medieval residence at Longthorpe Tower to not only see the stunning wall paintings, but to experience life as it would have been in the 15th century, when the manor was occupied by the Whittlebury family.

Our experienced costumed interpreters will share the remarkable story of the house and its décor and explain about daily life in the 1400s. Find out about food, costume, medicine and arms and armour from members of the Medieval Sokemen Living History Group, meeting the Lady of the Manor, a soldier, a barber surgeon, a cook and other costumed characters.

The one-hour tours must be booked in advance and are suitable for all ages and levels of interest.
