About

The Peterborough Jazz Club is delighted to present, the fabulous tenor saxophonist Simon Spillett with his star studded quartet at The Key Theatre on Sunday 10th November. Simon's performances are a roller-coaster ride encompassing everything from high bebop to lyrical balladry, the whole tied togeter by his signature witty stage presence. Simon has also become a champion of the music in all manner of ways, including writing a biography of legendary British saxophonist Tubby Hayes. Simon has recorded four highly regarded albums, the latest of which, Dear Tubby H, garnered a five star review in Jazzwise magazine. His quartet on Sunday features a dynamic rhythm section including pianist Pete Billington, bassist Alec Dankworth and drummer Pete Cater.
