Flower Festival at St John's Church

About

For three days around the St John’s patronal festival (St John’s birthday) at the end of June, St John’s will be the venue for a flower festival organised by the church flower arranging team.

There’s no admission charge and all are welcome. A plant stall will be running throughout the festival.

The festival begins at 11am on Friday 24th June 11am with a service with Blessing of the Flowers.

Afterwards the church will be open until 4pm. and then again from 6-7.30pm for the “First Night of Flowers” when you are invited to enjoy the flowers with a drink and nibbles.

On Saturday the church will be open from 10am-4pm and coffee and home-made cakes will be available.

From 2-3.30pm on Saturday there’s a “Children’s Flower Workshop” where children will be invited to choose plants from the festival plant stall and then use them to replant the tubs outside the West Door of St John’s.

On Sunday 26th June our regular 11am service will take place as a special “Festival Service” followed by a lunch in the church and the church will remain open until 4pm.
