Trail maps, £1, will be available to collect from The Green between 10am and 4pm each day.
Where: The trail is across the PE4 region of Peterborough, with a starting point on The Green, Werrington
This year’s theme: Royal Jubilee
Trails: Two trails – a short trail and an explorer trail
Competitions:
Favourite Scarecrow – The public will vote for their favourite scarecrow on the trails; prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed scarecrows.
Lucky Trail Map – correctly completed trail maps will be entered into a prize draw. Kids’ Art Competitions – there will be a free children’s art competition, with prizes, for children aged 11 years and under.
Entering a Scarecrow:
How do I register to take part? Please email us at werringtonshow@hotmail.co.uk, providing your contact details and the title of your scarecrow display
Can a business take part? We welcome scarecrows from individuals, organisations, community groups and businesses – the scarecrow must be on display within the PE4 region
When does my scarecrow need to be displayed? Scarecrows must be on display both Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm for the public to view.
What about the clues? You will be provided with a clue that needs to be displayed clearly on your scarecrow display for the public to spot. This will be delivered to you in the week prior to the event.

Taking part in the trail:
Where can I get a trail map? Maps will be available from a stall on The Green, near Werrington’s village sign, opposite The Blue Bell between 10am and 4pm on each day of the trail.
Will there be a charge for the trail map? Yes, this is a fundraising event for The Werrington Show. Trail maps will cost £1.
How do I enter the competitions: To enter the competition visit the scarecrows on the trails, collect the clues, complete the challenge and return or email a copy of your completed trail map to us. A winner for each trail will be drawn at random from the correct answers. Winners will receive a prize kindly donated by The Blue Bell Werrington and The Froth Blowers. Deadline for entries: midnight Tuesday 7th June 2022.
