Wizards Express at Nene Valley Railway

Nene Valley Railway invites you to join us at Wansfords School of Wizardry based Wansford Station for a magical journey on "The Wizard's Express"
On Thursday 27th October - The Wizards Express will be departing from platform 2 and a bit! from Wansford Station
The Wizards Express is a fun event for all the family, come and see the railway in a different light, as Wansford Station is transformed into a Wizardry themed setting to spark your spellbinding imagination into action. Let the ombiance take you to a where only imaginations can go. Don't forget to dress in your favourite Wizard Attire.
Wizards will mingle with our passengers under our themed undercover area as you trade in your trading cards for items or activities, before you board the Wizards Express. We recommend arriving about 1 hour before your Train Departure Time to allow you enough time to explore Platform 2 and a bit. On board, you will be joined by some of our Wizards and you will be able to purchase items or trade in a trading card for items off our on board trolley service! It's going to be a Wizardry time. Have your Wands at the ready! Each Child's ticket includes a handmade wand, which they will hand pick before boarding the Wizard's Express from Professor Kimberly's Wand Shop.
The Wizards Express will be departing Wansford's Platform 2 and a bit at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00.
On booking, please select your desired departure time for your round trip aboard the Wizards Express. Please note all train departures are from Wansford Station
Your tickets, which will be sent via Post or Email before you arrive, if you select Post you will also recieve your Unifrom Guide. If you selected Email Tickets please download the Uniform Guide at the bottom of this page (Uniform Guide will be available shortly)
Enter Wansfords School of Wizardry via the Main Station Booking Office where you will be checked in and collect your Bookings Offical Letter of Invitation to attend the Event.
You will mix & mingle with our Wizards under our themed undercover area before you board the train.
Whilst at Wansford Station you can trade in a trading card or two for activities or items, but don't forget you can also trade a trading card in on the train in exchange for something from our on board trolley. Extra items can be purchased from the trolley if you have already used all your trading cards.
Each Child's Ticket will include a Handmade Wand from Professor Kimberly's Wand Shop
Play The Wizard's Express Quiz on board the train.
£25 Per Adult - in open seating carriages (includes trading cards)
£20 Per Child (1 to 15) - in open seating carriages (includes a handmade wand & trading cards)
Table set up is in tables of 4, so if your booking is not in multiples of 4, you may be joined at your table by other customers traveling on this event
£150 Per Private Compartment (seats up to 6 max, any combination) includes trading cards for each person and a handmade wand per child
(under 1's travel for free but do not receive a pack of trading cards on check in and will not get their own seat, they will have to sit on an adults lap)
