All the services during Holy Week will be online via the Cathedral's Facebook page or YouTube channels.
All Holy Week services are online with no congregation. There are two occasions for public worship at the Cathedral on Easter Sunday.
The times below indicate when the services go live. Live stream services will be available to view for 24 hours from this time. Pre-recorded services stay online for longer.

Monday 29th March
5.30pm, Organ meditation (pre-recorded)
O Mensch, bewein dein Sunde gross BWV622 (O man weep for your great sins) - JS Bach (1685-1750).
A popular Passiontide chorale-prelude with a decorated solo melody culminating in a harmonically extraordinary final cadence. Played by Imogen Morgan, Organ Scholar.

Tuesday 30th March

Rockingham - Kenneth Leighton (1929-1988)
A gentle lilting chorale-prelude based on the well-known Hymn 'When I survey the wondrous cross'. Played by Imogen Morgan, Organ Scholar.
8.00pm, Compline with reflection and music (live streamed)
Wednesday 31st March
8.00pm, Via Crucis, an organ meditation with reflection (live streamed)
This is a special service, very recently published, of words by Eric Milner-White (who devised the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols) and music by Philip Moore.
Maundy Thursday, 1st April
7.00pm, Vigil Eucharist and stripping of altars (live streamed)
Good Friday, 2nd April
Journey to the Cross (live streamed)

12.00pm, Gethsemane
12.20pm, Jesus’ arrest and betrayal
12.40pm, Peter’s denial
1.00pm, Jesus comes before Pilate
1.20pm, The woman at the cross
1.40pm, Jesus dies on the cross
2.00pm, Short Liturgy of Veneration
Easter Eve, 3rd April
8.30pm, Easter Vigil (live streamed)
A new candle is lit and brought into the Cathedral, followed by a service with readings, hymns and the renewal of Baptism vows.
