Explore the past in our new series of Home Educator Detectives learning sessions, designed for home educated families.
Our first Home Educator Detective session will take place on Thursday 8th September at 10.30am-11.30am and will explore the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.
Children will work together to examine the various sources of evidence for life in Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age Britain. During the enquiry-based activity they will discover what these objects tell us about the past: specifically prehistoric people and its landscapes. Experiencing this activity is a great way of getting up close to genuine archaeological artefacts and to learn more about what everyday life was like in the past.
The Prehistoric handling session is recommended for children 6-12 years old.
Booking required, tickets cost £6 for each participating child. The price includes the handling activities and admission to stay on site for the rest of the day. One accompanying adult included free of charge.
£6.00
