This musical adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen 19th century story of The Ugly Duckling, will be staged in the natural, theatrical setting of The Cloisters.
KD Theatre Productions present the Olivier Award winning family musical HONK! by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
Honk! tells the tale of ‘Ugly’, a young duckling who appears to look different to his brothers and sisters. Made fun of by the other farmyard animals, Ugly is lured away by the devious Cat who hopes to enjoy Ugly as a lunchtime snack! Just as Ugly clocks on to what is happening, he tries to run but can’t find his way back to the farmyard. On his search for home, he encounters some larger-than-life characters who all teach him different lessons which begin to help Ugly realise it’s what’s on this inside that matters.
With clever, inspiring songs and a whole lot of heart, this charming reimagining of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling” will quack you up and bring a smile to your beak!
We ask audience members to bring their own seats, picnic and blankets. There will be specific areas for those with chairs, and those with blankets.
Performances will normally continue in the event of wet weather. We would encourage audience members to bring umbrellas and waterproof clothing. If a performance is cancelled, then all tickets remain valid for any other performance.
Tickets from £15 - £20 (booking fees apply)
