The Cathedral's Canon Precentor Dr Rowan Williams casts a look back at the women whose religious witness has echoed across the years.
Canon Rowan will explore the importance of women in the medieval Church. Many official Church functions were not open to them, and the contribution they made is often overlooked and misunderstood. The life and writings of some significant mediaeval women offer evidence for a different understanding.
