The Very Revd Chris Dalliston, Dean of Peterborough will examine how the history of the Cathedral and the second abbey was underpinned by this saintly rule-book.
Dating from as far back as the 6th century, Benedict's strict rules for monastic life contains guidlelines for how those leading a godly life should go about this work - observing humility, prayer, obedience and hard work among a host of other attributes.
Dean Chris will unpack the details of a lifestyle that has been the bedrock upon which Peterborough's Christian witness has existed over the centuries.
