The MERSEYBEATS…can best be described as “ the most exciting 60s band still touring today,” Still fronted by Tony Crane and Billy Kingsley, fifty years on and the legendary Liverpool band continue to enthral audiences throughout the world. Formed in 1961 ( originally as the Mavericks), the band concentrated on Everly Bros hits, but it wasn’t long until they enjoyed hits of their own. The Merseybeats rapidly became one of the most popular bands on the Liverpool scene…appearing at the Cavern and throughout the area along with their close friends The Beatles more times than any other group. Famed for their stylish appearance it was no surprise that the Merseybeats became NME award winners and were soon snapped up with the Beatles by Brian Epstein. Today you can relive the golden era of the sixties when the iconic Merseybeats take to the stage and entertain you with many of their smash hits….songs such as the million selling top ten hit “ I Think of You”, as well as “ Don’t Turn Around”: “ Wishin and Hopin” and of course “ Sorrow”…This is the one sixties concert you will never forget and will guarantee the whole audience on their feet at the end of the show. You’re not watching just another show you will be watching true legends on stage…true musical history. Don’t miss it…..
