Moomins will be heading to the centre from 22nd August to 4th September for interactive storytelling sessions with Millie and Bert, which will take place on a wonderfully magical and immersive set. Your tiny listeners will hear tales of Moomin, Mymble and Little My, who travel through many places and experience different emotions as they progress on their journey. Children will be invited to play games and to imagine what might happen next … although things might not be quite as they seem.
The storytelling sessions will take place on:
Tuesday 23 August,
Thursday 25 August,
Saturday 27 August,
Wednesday 31 August,
and Friday 2 September
with three shows each day (11am-12 noon, 12.45pm-1.45pm and 2.45pm-3.45pm).
Two sessions have been reserved for families of children with special educational needs and these will take place on Saturday 27 August (11am-12 noon), and Friday 2 September (2.45pm-3.45pm).
All visitors to Queensgate can pick up a trail sheet and will be challenged to go around the centre hunting for seven Moomins characters. Characters will be located on stands dotted around the centre and each will have a QR code that can be scanned to find out more about them. Pick up a Moomins trail sheet from North Square and find all the characters hidden around the centre. Upload your completed sheet to Facebook or Instagram with the #MoominsAtQueensgate to win a Moomins Prize bundle. Good Luck!
A special opportunity to meet Moomin will take place on Saturday 3rd September between 11am and 4pm.
